I had heard about this painting process that yeilds a polished aluminum finish.
I wanted to share an idea of mine that I feel is a great use of this particular finish;
I own an "ERA" 427 Cobra.
The car is already painted black with base coat/clear coat.
The car is fiberglass.
I have recently visited the Caroll Shelby musuem in Las Vegas.
He has his polished, real, aluminum 427 Cobra.
If a talented person was to mask off the two racing stripes that these cars had, and paint with the polished aluminum, the innusion would be that the fiberglass replica was "real" aluminum body which was masked off and painted black.
I never saw this idea accomplised, but I bet it would be awesome!
Sorry to use that word.
My guess is that my car would need to shipped to adifferent part of the country, and most likely totally repainted.
But I can dream, can't I?

What a job. From what I've heard, this stuff is extremely hard to get right, and the list of problems you can encounter can be as long as your arm. I plan to get some "General Jumbo Wheels" done with this stuff. Originally, I was thinking about getting set up to do it myself, until I talked to some people that had tried it and talked to the guy that is going to apply it on my wheels for me. Figured It would be saving a lot of hair by letting someone else that has already pulled most of his, do it for me.

Congratulations!
