My brother-in-law, Frank Dix, raced 6 cylinder dragsters and just about anything else that could possibly go fast in the 50′s and 60′s. He held some 4 and 6 cylinder dragster records for quite some time but I do not know if he still holds those records. He lived in Gardena, CA at the time and raced a most weeks at Lions Drag Strip. I have seen several pictures of him racing his dragsters during that era but do not have any myself. Unfortunately, he passed away in Sacramento in 1995.

Glad you like the site! I Googled a bit about Frank Dix. Didn’t find anything except that Dix is a word that appears more than I thought it would! I’ll ask some old timers I know and see what happens. Thanks! -pikesan

Enjoyed very much stoping at this site ,its been a long time since i’ve heard these names. I am curious if you know if Frank Edwards Dix still holds fastest front engine six cylinder dragster 200 miles per hour in quarter mile. thanks for your time.
