Wow. This is fabulous on many levels. Well written, clear, and a fun read. As to the paiting itself, I would have been tempted to include the front tire, but the effect of having it edge out that corner is to suggest that it's going someplace. And fast.

Love the chance to see you in action like this. Thanks!

Hi Tom, I saw your work in an old mag I found...Classic Automobile 1998. Decided to check out your website. Astonishing paintings!! Brilliant use of colour and very expressive use of brushwork. Your paintings show feeling, power, strength....and most of all... emotion!! I really like the 'buttery'...wet on wet technique you use . Brings to mind Skip Liepke and Gregory manchess. Best of all is the subject matter. 'Roaring metal'....love it all. Goodonya from Australia. Keep up the great work.
Cheers

Tom, obviously you really know hot rods. Even in your loose style that expresses speed and action the detail is there without being over worked. You know the curve of a dropped axel, how the springs and shocks are mounted, what a 21 stud engine and 97's look like and bias ply tires.
The only artist that comes close to you was Walter Gotschke. Remember him?
Thats the best compliment I can give.
I hope to acquire one of your prints someday to hang next to the Gotschke
Auto Union C-Type in action.
Thanks for doing what you do.
