Hot Rod Pinup Gia Genevieve
This smokin’ hot redhead made her way onto the scene in 2009 at VLV 12. She was noticed by a photographer and was put into the running right away to grace the cover of Ol’ Skool Rodz magazine where you might remember seeing her. Gia’s career has blossomed since then, winning the title of Ink and Iron Queen, and showing us what she does best on the cover of Retro Lovely Magazine issue 3.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Gia a little bit better when I interviewed her last year, and I’m happy to be able to work with her again, and bring her to you here on MyRideisMe. She is a sexy, curvaceous, sultry, red hot girl with hair to match. I look forward to a lot more wonderful photos from Gia, and seeing her around the Pin Up and Hot Rod scene for a while.

Anyone into the Pin Up lifestyle, would see that your sexy image graced the cover of Retro Lovely Magazine issue #3, and you had a pretty nice spread in the mag. What was it like being the featured cover girl for that issue?
I was very honored. The two previous girls who were featured I have been a fan of since I began pinup so I was very excited. It has become one of my favorite shoots I’ve ever done.
As a friend of yours on Facebook, and I saw the photos you posted of your skydiving adventure. I know there are guys out there who will agree with me, that it must have been a sight to see Gia Genevieve falling from the sky. What was skydiving like? What other daredevil activities do you get yourself into?
I’m an adrenaline junky. I’ve always been into pushing things to the limit. Skydiving was an ultimate adrenaline rush that I had always wanted to do since I was a little girl. As far as other dare devilish things I do I should probably keep hush hush hehe.

Hot Rod Pinup Mimi La Minkz
This little Latina might be a petite Pin Up, but don’t let that fool you! Her size may be small but her curves are just the right size. Mimi La Minkz busted into the scene a few years ago and has already made her rounds in the Pin Up and retro model scene. Just look at these amazing photos captured by none other than the talented Mitzi Valenzuela.
For those of you lucky enough to make it out to the Ink and Iron car show this past Summer, you might remember this spicy gal placing second in the Pin Up contest after Gia Genevieve. Well, I have a feeling we will be seeing more of Mimi at some car shows in 2011, so keep your eyes peeled for her in (or on) a custom ride near you! First off, I think you’re a hot little package that packs a big wallop. What first attracted you to Pinup Modeling?
I was and still am mesmerized by the confidant sultry sassy women of the 40’s and 50’s… I feel that women then knew what sexy was they knew how to own their body and embrace it… no matter what size they were.
What feelings overcome your body when you’re draped all over a hot rod or classic car?
I LOVE cars that’s another reason I love what I do, because I am constantly surrounded by these beautiful, bad ass rides… The type of car that really gets my gears goin is Rat Rods… I love a nice 38 Chevy truck all hacked up and rusted out… Exposed nickel bead welds and lots of character… that’s the type of car that makes me want to drape my body all over it!
I’m glad that we’re starting to see a lot of different cultures in the PINUP WORLD. How does it feel for you to be representing the Latin community in what is considered a mainstream Caucasian culture?
I love it, I am proud of what I do and what I represent!! I am so glad I can represent Latin woman in the pin up culture, Because my inspirations have been my grandmothers who were strong minded strong willed Latin woman who were always dressed to the nine’s. I remember watching my grandma make hand made tortillas with pin curls in her hair and heels on her feet… and she never left the house with out her Ruby Red lipstick! 
Being the hot mamacita that you are, what’s the spiciest thing you’ve ever done in or around a car?
Yikes… that’s a little too X Rated for this web site… I’ll just leave this one to your imaginations! If you can dream it, I’ve probably done it… hehehe
Congrats again on taking 2nd place at this year’s Ink & Iron Pinup Contest. What was it like? Were you nervous?
Yes I was so extremely nervous !! It was the 3rd contest I had been in since I started modeling and one of my biggest personal goals… the first time I went to Ink & Iron was in 2006 when I was pregnant with my son, when I watched the pin up contest I thought to my self I want to be up there! I can do this!!! I was so thrilled to be up there with some amazing women… It was defiantly a highlight of 2010 for me. Ink & Iron is my favorite event of the year, it’s the perfect combo for a girl like me… Tattoos, Rat Rods, and great bands!!
Last one is a two part-er, give us the classic car of your dreams. Year, make, model.? And do you find guys with rides to be irresistible?
My dream car would have to be a 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville with a big-block Chevy V8 engine, backed by a beefed-up Turbo 400 transmission. – actually my dream car belongs to Mario and Catriona Colalillo , they brought there Wild Cad to this year’s show case of customs and that’s where I first laid eyes on my dream car… my entire life I thought it would only be a dream in my lil head until I laid eyes on the Wild Cad!
-And yes any guy who catches my eye defiantly has to have a nice ride… that’s how my man caught my attention… his 71 caddy is what caught me hook line and sinker!

Monica Renee is a sexy SoCal pinup with a nice paint job of her own. With a pin up girl tattooed on her arm, she is among the most sought out, inked up pinup models in the scene. Monica’s beauty has graced the pages and covers of many Tattoo and Custom car and bike magazines, and now MyRideisMe.com, in this interview featuring photos by the lovely Mitzi Valenzuela of mitziandco.com. What is it about a custom ride that gets your engine purring? Would you consider it an an aphrodisiac?
I love how each custom ride reflects a little something about its owner. Each car is done up to the owners specifications, exactly how THEY want it done. I feel that it makes a bold statement of individuality… and THAT is a definite turn on :)
So, you are all dolled up in your sexiest pinup outfit and ready for a night of cruisin’ with your man. What are you wearing and what’s your ride?
I always have to have on my sky high heels… usually my black patent stilettos. Then Ill throw on a tight little dress, curl my hair and, of course, paint my lips red. If I really want to turn heads, then I jump into my friends 1950 custom Merc and cruise around Orange County all night long!
When you are not posing for sexy pinup pictures, what types of things do you find you self getting into?
Well music is a huge part of my life and a huge inspiration for me, so you will usually find me at a show on a Friday or Saturday night with a Jack and Coke in my hand.
I also, LOVE to travel and discover new places, so I try to get out of southern CA at least twice a month now.
It seems like Car Culture and Ink go hand in these days. I noticed the great ink work you have on your lovely body. Which one is your favorite piece and why?
I guess, the pinup girl on my upper right arm is my favorite. I got her to commemorate all the pinup work I have done over the years. Shes a reminder of where I started off as a model and it was also the first tattoo I got on my arms.
I think something about a Hot Pinup Vixen draped over a car is artistically gorgeous. What style of pinup modeling is your favorite and why?
I love all styles of pinup. Each style is uniquely expressive and allows the woman to feel sexy, confident and strong. That’s what got us all into pinup in the first place, right?
The custom ’46 Ford that you are posing with in these photos is amazing. What was your favorite part about the experience?
It was an honor to be able to pose with VooDoo Larry’s gorgeous ride. He is a master at what he does and I was so excited to not only be able to pose with one of his creations, but to also get the opportunity to hangout with him on set. The shoot was so much fun and I would love to chance to be able to drape myself over one of his cars again!

Straight from sunny Socal and from the lens of pinup photographer Mitzi, welcome Erica Vaughn our October Pinup of the month. Erica’s revealing a little of what she likes in an interview along with her sweet smile and devilishly red hair!

How did you get into pinup Modeling?
I was watching alot of Charlie Chaplin silent films. I am a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin! He’s directed alot of amazing actresses like Lillian Gish, Clara Bow, and many more. By watching those wonderful women I just fell in love with the 1930′s and 1940s… I’ve looked up to many of these inspiring women throughout there career; They’re very funny, energetic, and outrageously beautiful in all their pictures. After being a fan for many years I wanted to pursue pinup/retro/fetish modeling… so I did… and I LOVE IT!!!
What is your favorite car show to attend and why?
My favorite car show of coarse is the Viva Las Vegas Weekender! I love this car show because there are so many events happening all the time: the fashion show, car show, rockabilly bands, burlesque show, pin up contest, etc… Viva is also in the best place ever LAS VEGAS!!!!
What makes a hot rod “cool” to you?
For me a cool car is a custom exterior or interior that carries a theme or is completely different… cars that will catch my eye and also have to have alot of power!
What is your favorite car?
My fave car is a 1935 Buick hearse with a big block engine… super hot!
Best pick up line.
My best pickup line? I really don’t have a best pick up line… but I do hear a couple of pickup lines like, “Is that your real red hair?” or ” How often do you dye your hair?”
Favorite pinup photo shoot you’ve done so far
It’s hard to pick a favorite… I’ve met and worked with plenty of wonderful photographers that I’ve been lucky to make fabulous friendships with… I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. If I could choose an ideal photo shoot it’d be with someone I’ve never worked with before that has a energetic personality and is crazy-fabulous… hahaha
Favorite music.
Old school metal! I would like to thanks my parents for introducing me at an early age to rock… I also love a lot of underground and old school punk!
Guys: Sweet and romantic or the bad boy?
I like both guys. I like the bad boys that are interesting and keep me on my toes, but when I wanna stay in and cuddle the sweet and romantic guys are perfect…
Goal in life
My goal in life is to complete my register nursing license and continue with school for my nurse practitioner license specializing in pediatrics.
Favorite vacation destination
I haven’t been there yet but I am surely working on it but I do want to go visit Ireland and meet new people and learn allot from their culture!
Any stupid human tricks?!
I wouldn’t really say I have a human trick but I am double jointed…
Cruisin’ the strip or roaring down the 1/4 mile?
-ROARING down the 1/4 mile!
Most attractive quality in a man?
Has to be a man that knows a lot about building hot rods and muscle cars… so he can teach me… hahah
Who’s your Dream date?
My dream date’s a guy who likes to have fun, who is energetic, who makes me laugh, who know hows to rock, and also can hold his liquor.

May Pinup of the Month – Sabina Kelley

Hot Rod Pinup Sabina Kelly
Standing tall at 5’10″ at the top of the pinup modeling ranks (or close to it!) is May’s Pinup of the Month, Sabina Kelley.
Sabina Kelley the pinup can be seen all over in magazines and calendars, but she’s reaching beyond now modeling internationally, in TV and music videos, too. She’s been modeling for 10 years now, so there’s not much she hasn’t done in front of the camera.
So much more than a pretty face, she’s a professionally trained dancer as well with ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and pointe (you know, on the tip of your toes…) dancing on her resume. She started as a ballerina in a small town but her talent and long flowing gorgeous-ness soon took her to Sin City where she performed as a showgirl in “Jubilee” for over 2 years at Ballys Hotel. It’s no surprise then that she’s training for her own burlesque dance show to debut soon. (we’ll watch for it!)
After alot of trying and help from MyRideisMe.com friend and fellow Pinup Heidi Van Horne, I finally caught up with Sabina and asked her a few questions. Here’s what she said:
In case you didn’t know, Sabina’s opened her own tattoo shop called Bombshell Tattoo Parlor. I said, Why the tattoo shop? Are you an artist or just a big fan of tatoos? My husband and I own two tattoo shops. One is Staytrue Tattoo Parlor (www.MySpace.com/StaytrueTattooParlor) and the other one is Bombshell Tattoo Parlor. I also own a laser tattoo removal business called Bombshell Tattoo Removal (www.BombshellTattooRemoval.com) My husband is a tattoo artist, and I only do tattoo removal. They are both equally busy.
Have you always been into cars? Why the 65 Impala? Is it your daily driver? How is it My Ride is Me? Yes, I have always been into cars. I model with a lot of hot rods and really like hot rods, but my love is for lowriders. My 65′ Impala is not my daily driver. It could be, but I do not have air conditioning in it yet, and with it being up to 120 degrees in Vegas in the summer, that is no good for a baby in the car. I love my Impala. She is a good car, super stylish, is always turning heads, but needs alot of attention, and is a hard worker. Which I guess is kinda like me. Ha ha. She runs in the cold winter and the hot summer. Right now my car is a tourqoise color, but I am going to paint her soon a sparkly pink, plus it will make her different. I have never seen a 65′ Impala like mine that is sparkly pink. That way my husband will not want to drive her anymore.
Sabina’s own bio says it best: “Sabina is a model, business women, wife and mother, and she manages to do it all with grace and style.” No doubt.
