Being so close to Christmas, I had to ask… What’s your favorite Christmas you can remember?

Everyone road tripping to my grandparents in Kansas for a few days until Christmas. The whole family would help my grandpa with morning farm chores and then we’d eat breakfast together then open gifts! I miss those days where the whole family got together and had a meal!

White Christmas or sunny Christmas? Has to be a white one! Snow is fun!

Trent’s photos seem to bring out the best in women, what makes a hot, vintage styled photo for you?
Ive only ever shot pinup pics with Trent. He’s amazing at what he does! I love the old school looks! They’re all hot!

We gotta ask, are you a car girl or do you just see the hot rods as just another prop?
I love the way a car looks and sounds – other than that I’m pretty lost when it comes to the parts that make it look and sound they way it does… haha

You were in Maxim magazine’s “Hometown Hottie” search in Texas right? Is it true, “Don’t mess with Texas”?
Haha! Yes years ago… I’m actually on the cover of Playboy Lingerie for FEB/MAR 2012 issue coming out January 3rd, so get a copy! Texans are badass what can i say :P

You’re on vacation:

Best friend or just the right man? both

Disneyland crowds or sand between your toes? Sand

Steak and red wine or Fries and a large Coke? depends on my mood

Relaxing massage or bungee jumping and skydiving? Massage!!!!!!! haha

I see you want to be a song writer? What type of music? Who are your favorite musicians? Can you share an original verse or two?

I do it for fun. All my friends are musicians so its inspiring to be around. I’m definitely a rock-n-roll type of girl but I write a lot of pop music… I have tons of faves! I can’t cuz I don’t want anyone to steal my ideas… LOL

You’re a model, and actress… anything coming out soon we should watch for you in?

Just had two movies comes out, one is called Azienda a mobster movie and the other is called Deadline – a scary thriller. Really fun doing them! Right now I’m just waiting for 2011 to pass because in 2012 I have a lot of amazing projects!! But, I do volunteer at www.GWHFC.org. My girlfriend and I feed the homeless weekly. Its amazing to give back and we love doing it!

Crissy Henderson is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful & coolest individuals/models I know. She has taught me alot about the industry & photo shoots and has joined the list of people I appreciate in my life; from teaching me how to hustle and get my name out there in a greater ways… She is my top chosen model from my clients too. I never knew how much impact she would have in my career/portfolio. I’m thankful I know her as a friend and honored to have shot with Crissy!

July Pinup of the Month- Ashley Croft

Hot Rod Pinup Ashley Croft

I never thought that the jaw harp and watermelons would come up in one of my Pinup of the Month interviews, but alas, I haven’t  interviewed Ashley Croft before. With her timeless beauty and fun personality, Ashley is able to create some stunning pin up imagery. If you didn’t know any better you would think she stepped right outta the good ol’ days. Don’t get confused by that, because Ashley has a few ideas in her head about a pretty wild sounding, alternative style photo shoot… it involves an alcoholic drink of a certain color and a bouncy horse… I guess we will have to keep our fingers crossed with that one and hope it comes to life one day.

Pin Up modeling has often crossed paths with alternative style of modeling. What would your most crazy, off the wall photo shoot consist of if you had the chance?

I do tend to lean more toward traditional pin up themes in my shoots. I love the timelessness, and the way you can make it classy or campy! I do have a few things I’ve been dreaming up for a more alternative style, however. Think neon pink champagne, rhinestones, and a springy rocking horse!

What’s the most uncomfortable, piece of clothing or accessory you wore that you couldn’t wait to rip off at the end of the night, just to look good?

I tend to always overdress for the occasion, and actually don’t mind being uncomfortable for a few hours during an evening out. Super high heels and dresses I can hardly breathe in are in fair rotation.

What’s the oddest thing about you?

I’ve just recently learned to play the jaw harp, I have a pretty serious love for Scandinavian metal, and I have a crazy family lineage involving dance halls, gypsies, girl gangs, cowboys, carnies, and hustling watermelons.

If you drove around in a trademark car (a la Batman and the Batmobile) what would yours look like?

I have seriously wanted an early ’90s Chrysler LeBaron for years. It’s ridiculous. I would paint it super glittery turquoise with a candy pink and white interior and it would bear its name, “Champagne Dreams” on its vanity plate. One day.

Guilty pleasures? Any addictions? Fetishes?

RuPaul’s Drag Race, Britney Spears, Stilettos, Chocolate Milk, Big Hair, Pink Champagne, Vintage Lingerie, and Pasties.

Guys must flock to you everywhere you go. What’s the craziest thing a guy has done to try to win your affection?

I have received a marraige proposal or two on the street or the bar haha. But honestly, I usually only get hit on when I’m out of town! I live in a town with a close-knit scene and we’re almost all like siblings! I definitely tend to go for the hopeless romantics… It’s all about serenades and flowers.

Daisie Fairlane, Hot Rod Pin Up and Bigfoot Believer

Hot blonde, Check. Hot blonde who like cars, check. Hot blonde who likes to drive and work on cars? CHECK.. This Barris Spokesmodel (as in George Barris) embodies that perfect hot rod pinup persona. Smokin’ hourglass figure with platinum blonde hair and a no holds barred attitude when it comes to her rides. She knows what she likes… classics… and she’s not afraid to tell you she’s, let’s say, not a fan of the whole import and “Fast and Furious” scene. She likes to feel steel under the hood and vinyl under her, well, bum.

The only thing that might stand between Daisie and her dream car would be Bigfoot himself.

Photo shoot Scenario: What do you do with these only props- a car, a paintbrush, some paint…

In this scene I picture Route 66. An abandoned gas station in the middle of nowhere. The car is broke down with the hood up. Instead of fixing the car I’m painting the gas station, in the reflection of the car you see me holding the brush and the gas station is back to its heyday…

If you could pick one badass car from a movie that you’ve seen, to have for keeps, which one would it be and why?

That’s a hard one since there are so many great cars to choose from but, I’m going to have to go with Ronnie Howard’s ’58 Impala from the movie American Graffiti. I love the color, the stance and the clean lines. It looks and sounds tough with a bit of class. Not to mention “I just love the feel of tuck-n-roll upholstery.”

What is the weirdest, oddest, thing about you, either past or present?

Growing up in the mountains of NorCal I’m a firm believer of Sasquatch (A.K.A. Bigfoot), and I’m a germaphobe. I carry around hand sanitizer. I hate to touch door knobs and shopping carts. I’m also into roller disco.

If you could give yourself the perfect Pin Up name without being worried about what other people think, what name would you pick that would best describe you?

I think I have the perfect name, I can’t see myself with any other name. My friends started calling me Daisie in Jr. High I was always wearing “Daisy Dukes”and watching reruns of the Dukes Of Hazzard. The name’s stuck ever since…

What has been your biggest nerd moment of your life so far?

In the middle of a photo shoot I was sitting on the hood of a car that just got waxed, right when the photographer went to shoot the photo, I slid off the car. Luckily I caught myself before I ate the pavement. It was a fun experience for both me and the photographer :)

When not on your best Pin Up etiquette, what activity can you just get DOWN AND DIRTY with?

I like to rebuild engines, I enjoy looking for parts and changing things up a bit. On the weekends I enjoy Go-Go dancing at clubs to my favorite local band The Lonesome Ones, dancing up a storm… When I’m home I get down and dirty with kick boxing. It keeps me in shape and I have a bit of self defense behind me.

May Pinup of the Month – Ludella Hahn

If you’re a fan of Modern Pinup and you told me you don’t know who Ludella Hahn is, I’d ask you what rock you were living under. If an award for “America’s Sweetheart of Fetish Models” existed, I’m pretty sure Ludella would win it, atleast in my book… She’s been in Retro Lovely magazine numerous times, and can be seen modeling on countless Pin Up clothing sites. Besides that, Ludella stars in many hot, sizzling, and tantalizing burlesque shows and it’s really no wonder why. Ludella boasts a curvaceous physique with a bright and sparkling imagination to match. Anything different and unique is what fuels this Pin Up and really gets her engine roarin’. This Pinup gone wild has an affinity for oddities or as Ludella calls them ‘eccentricities’ and has a major case of  ’puppet love’ – which you will understand after you read my interview with her.You can check out her photos from recent shows on her website which is linked at the end of this story.

You have an amazingly diverse portfolio of work. What is your favorite type of modeling?

Thank you.  I don’t think I can pick just one favorite. I think this is why my portfolio has the diversity it has: I have varied tastes and a need to satiate them all. Modeling is an expression of the characters that make me and the characters I’d like to play.

Photo shoot scenario: Your only props are a man, a car, red lipstick and a bottle of motor oil. What do you do?

Hmmm… I think I would go for the “gal leaning in to apply her lipstick in the side view mirror at a service station with the service boy spilling motor oil in the background while checking out her rump” scenario. ;)

Let’s be shallow for a moment. I have noticed that you have a sexy, curvaceous frame, including a voluptuous rump. Is that your favorite asset? What is your favorite thing about your physique?

Pun intended? ;) I would consider my rump to be one of my best assets, yes. I used to get made fun of in grade school when puberty gave me a butt, hips, and thighs. It wasn’t until college that I finally realized that these characteristics made me beautiful. I’m very thankful for my genetics; I like how I’m built.

For the sake of keeping it interesting, lets say you just pulled off a major heist at the MGM a la, Oceans 11. What is your choice for a getaway car?

My getaway car would be a taxi, to better blend in. Then, once successfully escaping, I would reward myself with the purchase of a 1957 black Chevy Nomad.

Do you find yourself more intrigued by the sexiness of vampires or the violent, gnarliness (I think I just made up a word) of zombies?

Vampires. I have been a vampire fan for a long time. I’m a little upset about how trendy they currently are but I still have a soft spot for a sharp pair of fangs!

You have a puppet that you use in your “Misters and Misses: Don’t miss this” show. What’s his name and what would he say about you if he were to come alive?

His name is Charlie. If he were to talk about me, he might be upset about me not playing with him more since I’ve grown up (I’ve had him since I was a kid), but I think he would comment on being happy to still be involved in my life. He might also comment on me needing to eat more than just sweets and getting more sleep on a regular basis.

Let’s talk about these ‘oddities’ that you are into. Are we talking a secret room full of bottled pig embryos? Antique electrocution devices?

I have a mechanical ape head named Henry, a two foot long lobster puppet (that has made quite a few appearances in photo shoots), and Charlie all hanging out in my living room with a stuffed squirrel and paintings by my Nana on the walls. Maybe “eccentricities” is a better word to use. I have eclectic taste and a fondness for zebra print, mahogany, and antique ceramic elephants.

This week’s smokin’  hot pinup, is none other than Dinah Derosa. Dinah is featured below in photos brought to you by Pin Up Photographer extraordinaire Mitzi Valenzuela of Mitzi&Co. Dinah is a lady who knows what she wants and I’d put my money on the fact that she knows how she’s gonna get it! Her devilish, sexy smirk may get you, or maybe it’s her gorgeous aqua colored eyes? Whatever the case, be sure to check out her photos, and also read her interview with me- if you can take your eyes off of her long enough…

So first off, are you taken or lookin’ for love?

I am happily taken.

What about a man is a major turn on for you? Turn offs?

The biggest turn on to me is someone who basically has their act together.  When a man is full of drive and grabs life by the horns, it makes for a lot of excitement.  I also like when a guy takes good care of himself, he’s gotta have hobbies, and no prissy boys!  Intellect is a HUGE turn on.

As for turn off’s, there’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance.  I can’t stand the guy who always has something to prove and gets so worked up over minor stuff, just brush it off… Life is too short!  Laziness is also a definite turn off, get up and accomplish something.

Sometimes the pin-up/rockabilly world can be a wild and crazy scene. What’s your potion of choice when partying, or do you steer clear of that world?

I can’t stand just sitting at home, I definitely get stir-crazy.  I have a few potions of choice when going out; either Makers Mark & Coke or a Don the Beachcomber Mai Tai are my favorites.

What is the most bad-ass thing you’ve ever done?

Not so sure this qualifies as “bad-ass”, but it was definitely an awesome time in my life. I got to be a part of a pit crew for a dirt track dwarf car team who raced at the Antioch Speedway in Northern California.  I LOVE racing, it was great to be more than a spectator, I learned a lot.

Which classic car would be the best fit for your personality? Why?

I grew up a country girl, so I have a soft spot in my heart for trucks and wagons; Buick wagons are gorgeous!  I’m more drawn to a classy, traditional paint job; certain cars just shouldn’t be too flashy.  I am rather picky when it comes to wheels.

Who are you exactly when you aren’t in front of the camera?

I like to think of myself as a down to earth gal, who enjoys makin’ memories with close friends and family… I love hangin’ out with my puppy Astro, and listening to good music on the ‘ol Hi-Fi.
