Hi Emil, doubt you'll get much help in this post. Go to a Corvette forum and ask there. If they say it's not worth anything then immediately want to buy it, be suspicious!

Just an update on the '55, '56, & '57 serial #1 corvette's. They did not sell at auction. They did not meet reserve price. The bid on the '57 was just over $900,000. The bid on the '55 was around $600,000 and the bid on the '56 was around $500,000.

I have seen these cars up close, the owner is in the Eastgate Classics car club from Southwest Ohio. These three vette's are amazing, as is the whole story that follows the cars. Now, some might say that not every one of these cars can possibly be the VERY first off the assembly line for each year...."there's a '55 in a chevy museum that claims to be the first one." Well, let me briefly tell you that when all three of these cars were purchased, and restoration began, to verify authentistiy, the tags which contained the serial numbers were removed and sent out to be examened and x-rayed by those who document the corvette's. It was determined that these three cars are 100% the first production cars off the line for '55, '56, and '57. This is just one example of many tests and unbelievable hours of reserch that went into documenting these beautiful cars.
