Drivetrain:

Currently I've got a 327 small block with cross-fire fuel injection on it, backed by a TH350 and a 12 bolt w/3.07 gears. We liked the look of the cross-fire, but the performance is less than excellent.

Lying in wait is TPI and a 700R4, but both are subject to change as I'm also considering an LS and 6 speed instead...

Chassis:

Currently, bone stock...

However, I'm in the planning stage of a fully boxed, custom frame with C4 Vette suspension on all 4 corners. Should be fun!

Wheels & Tires:
Not sure yet. Thinking about the stock wheels of the donor Vette with Moon discs covering them and a performance street tire of some sort. Not close enough to needing them yet, so I'm not worried about that yet.
Body:
Thinking old school look. Hand painted shop logo on door and pinstripes, maybe flames. One thing is for sure, it will be a red of some sort.
Interior:
There needs to be enough seating for both my boys. So, either very stock appearing, or a more race inspired theme. It would easy enough to put a stock bench back in and hide the electronic goodies I want, smooth the dash some, etc. OR I could put 3 aluminum racing seats across and 5 point harnesses in for all. Decisions, decisions...

My Dad gave me this truck when I was 6 after he sold the 58 I was "helping" him build to pay for a surgery my Mom...

Thanks Kastoo. I am a mechanic by trade and I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss your ability to play in the computerized world. If you can use a volt/ohm meter, you can work on EFI. As far as the tranny goes, that one does get outsourced, I don't do trannys.

Awesome! You must be a mechanic by trade. Fuel injection and computerized trannies like 700R4 are pretty complicated for most including me. I'd never try it BUT I heard it pays off well in performance and gas mileage.

When she was still on the road, we entered in a Christmas parade and stuck silver garland all around her. Santa would look mighty cool in a ride like this!
