cutting the bed down - i couldn't stand having a long bed. impossible to park. so i set out to fix that. i got myself a 1/2ton suburban frame and moved everything over. the bed mounts however are different so i had to take ones of my old frame and transfer them over to the new frame. i then began to cut the bed down to fit the shorter frame. i'm currently starting from the front of the bed and working my way back. in total i had to take out 8in in the back and 11in the the front to match the short bed bed rails i purchased for mock up. that way i could use these rails to get my dimensions correct without error. since someone had run into a log or pole or somthing of that nature there was a nice big old scrape in the front of the bed witch was conveniently removed with the shortening of the bed. so far i've only got the front cut down and set into place. the back is soon to come. Nice mods on this thing. Agree with Kastoo, my favorite hot rod truck platform. Keep us posted on the build.
