Drivetrain:
That cool kid's brother had built a wicked 302 /289 hi-po heads tthat ended up in his Falcon, so that's what I repeated: a 1968 302 short block, .30 over crank, 1966 289 heads, hydraulic-rollers, a vintage Edelbrock 'Torker' intake (the twisted one), a rebuilt 4150 double, Pertronix in a 1966 dual-point distributor, deep pan, ceramic coated: headers, intake, valve covers, breather, TCI C4, 9" rear. . .
Chassis:
ha-ha-ha-haaa! It's a '63 Falcon fer chrys sake!
Wheels & Tires:
American Racing 5 Spokes, White letter radials - I want a set of Red-lines next. . .
Body:
Average body, basecoat /clearcoat red. . .

1963 Futura - 09/22/2008

Just back from the engine shop. (Ford in a Ford)

1963 Futura 09/22/2008

The engine builder put a 'BAD BOWTIE' tag on the front.

1963 Futura

Tried to get a low-shot to see the chrome side pipes tucked underneath.

Deguello [ de-gway-O ]

"Give no quarter" played as Mexicans attacked Alamo

The Bullit - a fresh old block

I bought 1 Falcon just for the engine -- a redone '66 short block

1 Falcon minus engine

Here, I sold the Falcon minus 1 302 /C4 /Headers

Oh yea! Reassembled

The same 302 - new paint with refinished old parts

Bullet is in!

Quick-release brace makes installation 1 less busted knuckle

Another view

Drives - needs heat-n-air hoses & different radiator

Hey DsFords, Runawaychair here. This is my 3rd '63 hardtop. I actually owned all 3 briefly in the summer of '07 - combined them all into 1. . .

Hey kastoo, thanks. Yep, A/C has become important, though my high school Falcon only had the 2@55 kind! (2 windows down @ 55mph) - that was '77. . .

Here it is, home from the engine builder! No interior though. The engine guy spent ALL my money!
