Joel Youngs V4F/BFS set a new world record for vintage 4 cylinder flat head engines with a 2 run average speed of 201.7 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats on 8-16-2010. Joel set a record of 160.116 in the same car in 2009. The first run on Sunday was aborted due to a loose sensor. The second run had to be kept below 200 mph due to SCTA driver licensing requirements and resulted in a speed of 198.111. The backup run on Monday resulted in a speed of 205.290 mph for an average of 201.7 mph. Good job Joel!
