I haven't used the forum yet, but figures might as well... I love this site, first off!! Lots of kool cars out there. Check out my garage to see some pics of my cars (can't figure out how to post em on here from my phone). I just repainted my ol' Packard a few nights ago. Didn't finish the body work before I sprayed it, so its more of a tester to see the color on there. After I finish polishing the stainless it's going back on, minus the chrome fins that will be shaved off. Then I'm gonna add some green scallops and outline the trim. I'm going for a '57-'60 period look (well, period inspired). I think I'm getting there ok. In a photo you wouldn't know it's not 1958.

The new (to me) motor turned out to be a strong runner, except for a crack in a water jacket... Nothin I can't handle to. This new motor is out of a '53 Cavalier. It's a 327, 5 main, hydraulic lifters... 160 whopping horses packed under that big ol' chunk of iron!!!! Nothin like the sound of eight in a row through open pipes though..... A sound you really have to hear in person to appreciate.

Next up is interior work. My mom is working on some door panels for me. They're just gonna be green and white broadcloth in a factory-inspired pattern. One day I'll get the seats done, but old blankets do me just fine for now.

Hey Boss, I promise I'm not a spammer. Here's a couple pics of the Mustang, Belair and my Sportster. The Mustang I've owned for 18 years, rebuilt everything 4 years ago so now she is driven often. The Belair I got in a trade last spring but had to rewire it, replace all hoses and hard lines. then I put my 383 sbc and 350 turbo in it. The flat black i added after she was road ready. It was a barn find that had been built as a hot rod in the mid 80's then parked for 20 years. I came to rescue cuz I thought it was cool. The interior was done in the 80's but still in pretty good shape.

Hi everybody: My name is Snuggles and as you can tell from my picture I'm a friendly fun loving guy. Been into hot rods and motorcycles all my life. Have built more than I can remember, some drag cars as well as street rods. Currently have a 65 Mustang, 54 Belair and 95 Harley bobber. I'm much older than that picture, have gotten greyer and slower but never grew up. Hope you can tolerate my sillyness??

Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) announced that it is selling advertising space in the error messages that appear in Windows.

Acknowledging for the first time that the average user of their operating system encounters error messages at least several times a day, Microsoft is trying to take financial advantage of the unavoidable opportunity to make an ad impression.

"We estimate that throughout the world at any given moment several million people are getting a 'General Protection Fault' or 'Illegal Operation' warning.

We will be able to generate significant revenue by including a short advertising message along with it," said Microsoft marketing director Nathan Mirror.

He also mentioned that Microsoft is intended to add banner ads into its Blue Screen of Death in the near future.

The Justice Department immediately indicated that they intend to investigate whether Microsoft is gaining an unfair advantage in reaching the public with this advertising by virtue of its semi-monopolistic control over error messages.

This is a pair of fairly new American Racing Wheels with Firestone Dragmaster slicks. They have about 200-300 miles on them and are street legal. The wheels are 15x8" with 4" backspace and 5x 4.750" bolt pattern. The tires are 8.20x15" and are 29.5" tall. Im asking $850 (over $1200 new) feel free to make an offer. I will not seperate the wheels & tires. Im in northern Michigan. I can arrange shipping for additional cost.

From what I read in an article, the U.S.-based luxury car maker Mosler is taking the concept to extremes. The company reports that it will be making a very limited run of its 2012 MT900 SP supercars. Hey Everybody,

I'm new to this site, but not new to cars. I've had Mustangs my whole life starting with my first car which was a 69 mustang. Through the years I've bought and sold lots of cars. A few years ago I bought a 27 T bucket that was a major project. I got it running and on the road and enjoyed it for a year or so. I sold the car to help pay for my house. Now the present time a year ago I bought my 68 mustang (which my wife found for me) and driving it around while I'm working on it. My big project I'm about to start is a 27 model T coupe with a model A frame, other then that I'm not sure how it is going to go. I'm picking the body and frame up toward summer.

I live in a small rural town in Oregon, and am 61 years old.
I'm almost finished with my 84 Silverado, after having to park it for a few years, as i just wore it out!

OLD........ Shiny black paint, lowered, no chrome,305 c.i. engine, 700R4 trans, Crager SS rims........
NEW........Suede black paint, still lowered, 30 over 454, rebuilt 700R4, new exhaust system, don't know about the rims yet.

Noob... Into trad customs & some "hot rod". I know my way around a shop environment, been wrenching for a while. Spent too much dough on tools & cars. Can't keep a car on the road but a minute before I get a hold of too much caffeine & tear it apart once some "inspiration" hits, then inevitably fades... I like to get punched in the face... I like Irish whiskey triples str8 up... I like Snap-on & Matco tools... I like Old Levi's, plain front Dickies & Vans... I like bench seats... I like auto transmissions w/o OD... I like to put engines in cars that people tell me not to cuz it's not "period correct", then I make it look like it should have been... I like Bosch relays, even if everyone else thinks I'm lame... I like large caliber revolvers... I like long legs & blonde hair... I like punkrock AND Led Zepplin...
