Starting last year, we took in, or at least tried to, the race cars, the scenery and the fantastic people of Bonneville Speed Week. Whatever this is (I&#8217;ll try investigate, don&#8217;t worry!) Don&#8217;t mistakenly think the teams are relaxing with a cold one (that happens later). For the two streamliner teams I interviewed, it&#8217;s serious business, checking everything and making focused plans to do one thing: <a title=\"How to set a record\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/setting-speed-record-bonneville\/\" target=\"_blank\">Set a record<\/a> (or break something trying). Anything experienced crews or first-timers might miss, the seasoned tech inspection guys find every time.\u00a0 Safety&#8217;s always top priority whether driving 100 or 500&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>With all the intensity, there&#8217;s still time for fun. While owner George Poteet and famed builder Troy Trepanier from <a title=\"Top Hot Rod Builders\" href=\"http:\/\/www.radrides.com\/home.php\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">Rad Rides<\/a> have the this slippery Barracuda detailed like one of George&#8217;s AMBR or Ridler award winning cars, they don&#8217;t get to have any more fun than the dirty inline six team above.\u00a0 Look for a detailed feature of this ride very soon.
