ya, you&#8217;re gonna hear and see a lot about this car on the automotive internet circles I think.\u00a0 This car just popped on the salt and turned heads with its dual carbed Corvair motor, super low stance and overall COOL FACTOR.\u00a0 It was one of the biggest neck-breakers out there on the Salt Flats during the 62nd Annual Bonneville Speed Week.\u00a0 It was easily in my Top 5 Cars of the Week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/Speed-Week-2010-455.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[11885]\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11894\" style=\"margin: 4px; slick with its big n little wheel\/tire combo and flat black paint.\u00a0 I love these old rods\u00a0without fenders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/Speed-Week-2010-190.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[11885]\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11890\" style=\"margin: 4px; this Model T roadster with 3 Deuces and yellow\u00a0steelies and engine block.\u00a0 The color combination is workin&#8217; for me.\u00a0 It&#8217;s just the right amount of yellow mixed in.\u00a0 Dig the WWII style two-piece windscreen&#8230; I\u00a0WILL run one of these on a roadster one day.\u00a0 It&#8217;s gotta be\u00a0one of my favorite hot rod tricks for a roadster.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/Speed-Week-2010-52.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[11885]\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11888\" style=\"margin: 4px; in Burbank, Calif. according to the\u00a0door art.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll be seeing more Model A and B pickup hot rods from me .\u00a0 My buddy Nate and I really started diggin&#8217; on the truck-rods.\u00a0 Just something about them that caught my eye this year.\u00a0 Hmm&#8230; all the right hot rod style points for me.\u00a0 Plus its driven&#8230; If you look close, you&#8217;ll notice the 350 SBC was caughin&#8217; up some coolant as it cruised the\u00a0 pit area.\u00a0\u00a0With temps hit&#8217;n 90&#8217;s crawling through the pits, the old GMC needed some cooling off.\u00a0 Perfect for an impromptu photoshoot eh?!\u00a0 The owner made the drive out from the Salt Lake area with the backup 350 substituting for the big block Chevy- of-choice at home getting a refresh.\u00a0 It was cool to chat with this dude (sorry, I didn&#8217;t write your name down, so I totally spaced it) and hearing how\u00a0 he&#8217;s been hammerin&#8217;\u00a0 on this rod to get it to Speed Week.\u00a0 I dig the grille, the original GMC unit, not common like the Fords, that&#8217;s for sure.\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;m a HUGE fan of white walls on hot rods and again, the stance is spot on.\u00a0 Love it!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/Speed-Week-2010-124.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[11885]\"><img class=\"size-full wp-image-11898 alignnone\" style=\"margin: 4px; from Boise, Idaho.\u00a0 &#8220;Way to go Idaho!&#8221;\u00a0 Some of THE most killer rods at the Cruise In&#8230; Speed Week.\u00a0 In between shots, they&#8217;d switch it up and while moving their cars around into different positions, they&#8217;d be doing donuts in the salt and kickin&#8217; up the white stuff.\u00a0 They were just plain enjoying themselves and their rides.\u00a0 These boys are My Ride is Me to a &#8220;T&#8221;!\u00a0 Thanks for drivin&#8217; &#8217;em out from Idaho boys so the rest of us\u00a0could enjoy them too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So there&#8217;s a glimpse into the unofficial Speed Week 2010 Cruise In.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t even show you any race cars yet!
