Impreza WRX.\u00a0 I was getting really excited for Speed Week 2010, the Nugget Cruise in and everything that goes with being at Bonneville.\u00a0 For Subyrod&#8217;s first trip to the Salt Flats, I felt an itch to have a custom axle back exhaust made for it, something that would turn some heads, maybe make my car fit in with all the old iron running around with loud exhausts.\u00a0 It had to be on a budget.\u00a0 I kicked around the idea and then dropped in at <a title=\"JDM Legends website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jdmlegends.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">JDM Legends<\/a> (See my <a title=\"JDM Legends intro story\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/legends-from-the-land-of-the-rising-sun\/\" target=\"_blank\">Introduction Story of JDM Legends<\/a> here) to see what Eric Bizek could weld up for me on a small budget.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at some in-process photos below of the custom exhaust work.\u00a0 I was thinking of a few options, mild steel painted or\u00a0stainless and 2.5&#8243; or 3&#8243;.\u00a0\u00a0We ended up going with stainless 3&#8243; dia. tubing\u00a0to match the rest of the exhaust system.\u00a0 One way to achieve my budget was using some of Eric&#8217;s straight from where it gets passed the rear end and exits at the bumper.\u00a0 The turndown is definitely different, almost like a big turbo diesel truck exhaust.\u00a0 The sound though is not so subtle.\u00a0 I love it.\u00a0 It&#8217;s pretty bearable cruising the freeway and becomes downright\u00a0 LOUD during acceleration.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll have to get a video of it so you can hear
