(Insert confused look here)<\/h3>\n<p>1934 Ford 5 Window Coupe<br \/>\n<a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-2.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[22712]\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19003\" style=\"margin: 4px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Insane 1934 Ford Hot Rod- Best of 2013 Detroit Autorama\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-2.jpg\" alt=\"traditional hot rod, custom paint,hot rod and custom car show\" width=\"575\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nLast year, I did a <a title=\"Damn Great, but Not Great 8 \u2013 Detroit Autorama\u2019s Best\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/2012-not-great-8-detroit-autorama\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Shoulda-been Great 8&#8221;<\/a> story from the 2012 Detroit Autorama. I&#8217;m putting that story together, and when I do, this will top the list. Not only is the car way-over-the-top RIGHT ON traditional cool&#8230; it&#8217;s also displayed beautifully and has an amazing Darryl Hollenbeck paint job. It&#8217;s called, &#8220;Iron Orchid&#8221;. Look for more pictures in a feature story soon.<\/p>\n<h3>When my 1927 Roadster Grows up:<\/h3>\n<p>1927 Ford Model T Roadster<br \/>\n<a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-23.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[22712]\"><img class=\" wp-image-19005 alignnone\" style=\"margin: 4px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"1927 Ford Model T Roadster- Best of 2013 Detroit Autorama\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-23.jpg\" alt=\"hot rod roadster, model t roadster,hot rod and custom car show\" width=\"575\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis Brothers Custom Automotive hot rod was parked down in the basement. Just like last year, Brothers brought out the heavy guns with owner Bill&#8217;s own roadster. This roadster blew me away. My buddy Chuck Vranas from Street Rodder Magazine thought so too. He handed Bill his Street Rodder Top 100 award at the show.<\/p>\n<h3>Altered Wheelbase Fun<\/h3>\n<p>1965 Dodge Coronet A\/FX<br \/>\n<a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-12.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[22712]\"><img class=\"size-full wp-image-19005 alignnone\" style=\"margin: 4px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"1965 Dodge Coronet A\/FX- Best of 2013 Detroit Autorama\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-12.jpg\" alt=\"drag racing, A\/FX racer car,hot rod and custom car show\" width=\"575\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nClay Kassuth, owner and pilot of this Max Wedge powered, A\/FX <em>REAL<\/em> race car was great to talk to. He let me know the back wheels were moved forward 15&#8243; and the the front 10&#8243; or so. As it sits, 56% of the car&#8217;s weight sits on the back wheels. That&#8217;s good enough for ear-to-ear grinning 8.80 passes with the wheels up through 3rd gear! With the &#8220;Plastic Fantastic&#8221; Ford Maverick funny car behind it, this was one of my favorite spots of the show!<\/p>\n<h3>Wagon Master!<\/h3>\n<p>1964 Mercury Colony Park Wagon<br \/>\n<a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-17.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[22712]\"><img class=\"size-full wp-image-19005 alignnone\" style=\"margin: 4px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"1964 Mercury Colony Park Wagon- Best of 2013 Detroit Autorama\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Best-of-2013-Detroit-Autorama-17.jpg\" alt=\"Woodie wagon, Mercury Wagon,hot rod and custom car show\" width=\"575\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWhat can I say? I dig wagons and this one&#8217;s got me hooked. Nick Zakarian, who also owns a nasty 1964 Mercury Marauder featured in this <a title=\"17 Best Wheels and Wide Whites in Detroit\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/19-best-wheels-and-wide-whites\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Best Wheels and Tires&#8221;<\/a> story, added air ride and handled the fine details on this 390 Super Marauder equipped wagon.
