(I know, I know\u2026 east coasters seem to have the same issues, but we\u2019re talkin&#8217; the center of the country!)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>John Wells has become the pied piper of us Midwest rodders. He says \u201ccome with me\u201d and we follow. It\u2019s just that simple and Wells\u2019 newest event promises to be every bit as creative, exciting and traditional as his past projects where he has been able to make hard core hot rodders one very happy bunch of people!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Retro Rewind is Wells\u2019 newest creation, happening January 11 and 12 at the Five Flags Arena and Theater in Dubuque, Iowa. Even Voodoo Larry thinks it\u2019s going to be cool enough to show up and Wells is determined to make this bigger and better than anything he\u2019s pulled together.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wells is creator and chief honcho of the successful TorqueFest events, begun in 2010 in tiny Farley, Iowa and now a \u201cmust attend\u201d for traditional rodders across the country. Wells is determined to present these \u201cshows\u201d in the proper fashion. \u201cWhat better time to step back in time,\u201d says Wells, caught between endless planning phone calls and his kid\u2019s Christmas program. \u201cWe celebrate a simpler time when hot rods were worked on in a friend\u2019s garage and music came to us via an AM radio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Just the logistics of trying to round up period correct hot rods, kustom cars and vintage motorcycles during the throes of winter weather is daunting enough, but Wells isn&#8217;t satisfied with just a display of wheeled vehicles. Nope\u2026 he has to add in a few extras like an incredible collection of vintage guitars, mandolins, bass and other accessories, much of it for sale. Guitar amps, effects, cables and pedals\u2026 everything for all you guitar aficionados.
