in the last few years for me.\u00a0 They all have great aftermarket support, wheels, suspension, exterior, engine, etc.\u00a0and can all be built into multiple different styles, drifting, road racing, street car or show car.\u00a0 Each has tons of potential to let their owners be creative and make their Ride an extension of themselves.<\/p>\n<h3>Toyota AE86 Corolla GT-S &#8220;Hachiroku&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/8619.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5876\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; (or hackiroku in Japanese) as its known.\u00a0 This Orange beauty grabbed from Speedhunters.com is a circuit, track day example.\u00a0 This one sports a big carbon GT wing, fender flares to fit bigger meats and a gutted interior.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/0611_impp_01z+toyota_corolla_ae86+left_front_view.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5878\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; favorite is the Nissan 240SX, also known in Japan and around the world as the Silvia, 180sx or 200sx, depending on what engine spec.\u00a0 As is the case, the USA got the watered down version and in this case it is no different.\u00a0 Instead of getting a highly modifiable Turbocharged SR20DET 2.0L DOHC 4 cylinder engine rated anywhere from 200-250hp, the US 240sx received the dull and weazing 2.4L DOHC 4 cylinder turbo-less truck engine rated at 155hp.\u00a0 That of course doesn&#8217;t stop the enthusiasts in the know to swap in a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) SR20DET engine into their chassis.\u00a0 This red aggressive S14 240sx runs with the <a title=\"Risky Devil\" href=\"http:\/\/riskydevil.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Risky Devil Street Drift Club<\/a>, one of the crews that knows how to setup a Nissan!<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_3018_chob_risky_devil_s14_copy.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5882\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 4px;\" title=\"Ford racing Cobra Jet Mustang\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ford-racing-cobra-jet-mustang_6-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Ford racing Cobra Jet Mustang\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ford-racing-cobra-jet-mustang_6-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ford-racing-cobra-jet-mustang_6-150x99.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ford-racing-cobra-jet-mustang_6-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ford-racing-cobra-jet-mustang_6.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Ah, the retro styled Mustang S197 chassis.\u00a0 Released as a 2005 model, it came with a 300hp 4.6 3 valve V8 that could run on low octane.\u00a0 The chassis and body was totally revamped from the Edge SN95 Mustangs and with that, a much improved handling suspension package.\u00a0 So much so that the S197 Mustang has been very sucessful in GT racing around the world.\u00a0 In 2008, Ford released its Cobra Jet special edition drag pak, I think only 50 were sold, body in white versions sold to drag racing teams that wanna cough up the dough of course.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_9038.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5885\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 4px;\" title=\"Vaughn Gittin JR's 2010 Mustang GT RTR\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_9038-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Vaughn Gittin JR's 2010 Mustang GT RTR\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_9038-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_9038-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_9038-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/IMG_9038.jpg 672w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>If you don&#8217;t know yet, I&#8217;m a huge drifting and Japanese car nut.\u00a0 Vaughn Gittin Jr is a drifter who has taken on the S197 chassis and shined, taking a few wins and many podiums in his new 2010 Mustang GT.\u00a0 Here is his street car!\u00a0 I here from Speedhunters\/Motor Mavens (can&#8217;t remember which one) mentioned this week that JR will be going to the aftermarket selling Mustang parts and such.\u00a0 This stang is clean looking.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll take one in Grabber Blue though!\u00a0 I love how the\u00a0&#8216;Stang has been updated for the 2010 model, with its more aggressive front end, angled rear and bumped up power.<\/p>\n<h3>Datsun 510<\/h3>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/bre51009do6.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5888\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; by its followers.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/0303tur_12z+Datsun_510+Front_Passenger_Side.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5887\" style=\"margin: 4px; for sale in the local classifieds with a 350Z 3.5L V6 engine swap.\u00a0 Wow!\u00a0 They don&#8217;t make cars like they used to, in the USA or across the Pacific.<\/p>\n<h3>BMW M3\/3 Series<\/h3>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ad.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5894\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 4px;\" title=\"M3 CSL at Nurburgring cornering hard\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ad-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"M3 CSL at Nurburgring cornering hard\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ad-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ad-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ad-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ad.jpg 672w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>If I had a little more money and didn&#8217;t live in Utah with its snow and long winters, I&#8217;d be driving a BMW M3 CSL (Club Sport model).\u00a0 Look at this M3 running at the world famous Nurburgring race course.\u00a0 Talk about grip!\u00a0 Not sure what&#8217;s cooler, pulling the front tires off the ground at a drag strip or in a corner while road racing.\u00a0 The M3 sold from 2000-2006 ran a 3.2L inline 6 that made 333hp and could rev to over 8000 RPM&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve driven an E46 M3 right after driving a Terminator Mustang Cobra.\u00a0 What a smooth revving engine!\u00a0 One of the best sounding engines ever in my opinion.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/00443ax.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5763]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5895\" style=\"border: 2px solid black;
