As a slick pool player in &#8220;The Hustler&#8221; and then in &#8220;The Color of Money&#8221; and he could do comedy too in &#8220;Slap Stick&#8221;. One went to David Letterman, who is into cars and a friend of Paul Newman.\u00a0 Oh, he also had a Buick turbo V6 swapped into a Volvo as well with a 5 speed manual in the late 80&#8217;s, Paul was into &#8220;sleepers&#8221; obviously.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Paul Newman was the voice of Doc Hudson in the &#8220;Cars&#8221; movie.\u00a0 For the premier of the movie, which was shown at Lowe&#8217;s Motor Speedway, Newman (about 80 years old at the\u00a0 time) took a custom built &#8217;51 Hudson body mated\u00a0to a Craftsman Truck Series chassis and drove it over 160 MPH on track!<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/newmansbs510.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5940]\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6028\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/1061.JPG\" rel=\"lightbox[5940]\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6028\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-6028\" style=\"margin: 4px;
