Posies Rods and Customs, best known for their Super Slide Springs, swung open their shop doors to the general public on the morning of Jan 9 from 8am until noon. Ken \u201cPOSIES\u201d Fenical was there to greet everyone and treated us like old friends. This small shop, just a few miles outside of Hershey in Hummelstown, PA, likes to say they build \u201cstatements\u201d rather than cars. \u201c<strong>Anybody can restore an antique. . . it takes a real man to cut one up<\/strong>,\u201d as one of their t-shirt says.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/POSIES-1.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[7379]\"><img class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-7381\" style=\"margin: 4px; border: black 2px solid;\" title=\"POSIES - The Man Himself\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/POSIES-1-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"POSIES - The Man Himself\" width=\"287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/POSIES-1-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/POSIES-1-150x99.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/POSIES-1-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.myrideisme.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/POSIES-1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>A couple of their statements were out in the snow covered parking lot on display: the \u201932 Ford based \u201cEuroliner\u201d and the \u201972 Jaguar XKE \u201cFlatCat\u201d. All of POSIES\u2019 statements are built to be driven. In fact, the Euroliner was driven cross-country to SEMA on the 2008 POSIES Driven Dirty Tour.<\/p>\n<p>A large crowd turnout (some brave souls even brought their rides) made for a great morning. There were even several vendors on hand to answer technical questions if you felt so inclined to ask.
