Ford F100 "Phord"
Hacked off the front and welded on a....wait for it...."oh no you didn't"...Chevy Nova Subframe. Chevy 350/350 combo, disc brakes, power steering, tilt column out of a "oh my god again?" Chevy van. Some cool duals shootin out just behind the doors!
Chassis:
As above 1970s Chevy subframe.....sorry ford guys! Relocated the rear spring perches to lower a bit....thinking of C-Notches and a flip!
Wheels & Tires:
Torque Thrust 14s front, 15s rear...also have a set of skinny ass red steel 14s for the front, and some wide red steel 15s with white wall pie crust cheaters for the rear.
Body:
Was white...then flat black....got a wild hair and slapped on some black epoxy with a brush, mixed up some Hugger Orange with a little black and used a roller to apply. Then followed up with some flat rattle can white and black. Got a big pile of wet sand paper and sanded it all down, followed by 3M red pads. Kinda wanted to see if i could re-create that "found it in a field look". May have gone a little overboard but I like it. Gets some double takes when I roll by and of course the usual question..."when ya gonna paint it?"
Up next....Red Metal Flake Roof....
Interior:
Let's see....repainted some of it white, some has the original "patina"....added two rusty bottle openers, I know it's kinda over done but no true blue ratty rod wouldn't be caught dead without that accessory. Tossed on a Mexican Blanket for the bench, Red Flake wheel, Mermaid gear selector, an old timer Tach on the dash, and drum roll please.....rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....a Tiki interior light!
Started life as a parts runner when I was building Choppers and Bobbers....then said "now what can I do with it?"
