Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic "Projectcan"

Engine:

Engine will get Thunder Hi-performance 95" kit installed, with matching air intake etc. Clutch has already been upgraded some yars ago. Nitro or turbo might be a later option but have to make this work first. Let's see...

Exhaust might stay as it is now, 2-to-1 but a short 2-2 system could look and work as well. No decision on this yet.

Suspension:
Bike will be lowered by about 1" back and front. Fork will have a 7deg. change as well.
Wheels & Tires:

Rear will go from original 16" to 18" and front from 16" to 19". Lower profile tires naturally as well; 160/60 in the rear and 120/70 in the front.

Body:

Frame will not be modified, only smoothed and re-painted. Fenders most likely will be carbon fiber and tank will get a much cleaner look and matching paint scheme with the new fenders. Floorboards are history, a set of forward controls will be installed.

Lights, mirrors etc. will all be changed; not quite sure yet about some of final options.

Original seat will get a new life; it will be used for making a new solo seat.

Actually the model is Vulcan 1500 Classic but this option was not selectable. Anyhow, the engine displacement will increase...

Cylinder head after some polishing

As the cylinders anyhow had to be removed due to the big bore kit, this was the time to do some polishing. Just with a Dremel tool you can in fact make quite a difference; let's see then how it all works later on.

Intake

Much smoother than originally though it looks a bit rough. Must be the light...
