Ford Coupe "Flying A Coupe"

Drivetrain:

1956 Chrysler 354 Hemi. Tranny is Turbo 350 using a trans adapter from Hot Heads.

Engine was bought from a HAMBer in San Clemente,Ca. He said it was a running engine when pulled out of the car, with no problems. I heard this one b4.

Pulled the oil pan, cleaned it up a little and she fired right up with no problems.

Carbs are 3 Rochester 2g's with Vintage Speeds manifold adapter.

Chassis:

Custom chassis was built by Tom of Street Rod Engineering in Prescott,Az

Told him what I wanted, low, long,z'ed so the body sits low and suicide front end.

Wheels & Tires:

Rear White Wall slicks are Hurst racing. Don't ask how much I'm trying to forget.

Body:

John Deere Flat Black rattle can.

Original cowl gas tank is being used , it was not rotted out.

Interior:

Done with whatever I had.

Check out the Ignition Key Chain fob.

This car was started by finding the body in Avondale via the HAMB. The chop was already done. No decklid. No windshield. This started the ball rolling.

The body had the usual rusted out areas and was patched.

The body was painted John Deere flat black with rattle cans. My finger is still sore.

My original plan was to slowly build it myself and keep the costs down but got impatient and got very busy at work so it was turned over to Marty at N2HotRods to get the body and drivetrain mounted.

It was completed in 6 months and made its 1st car show at Cruisin for a Cure in Costa Mesa,Ca.
