Chevrolet Suburban "Ratiki"

Drivetrain:
The engine is a 383 Stroker block with old-style dress up goodies. Not a big fan of chrome. I had the valve covers and other accesories powder coated.
Chassis:
Stock C10 with a rear C-notch kit for clearance. The front end has a drop spidle disc brake front suspension.
Wheels & Tires:
The wheels are 18" and 17" Wheel Vintiques. Caps are old school baby moons. Tires are BFG.
Body:
The body is all stock except for shaved emblems and bumpers. The paint is modeled after the two-tone motifs jobs offered on one of my all-time favorite cars, the 1956 Chevy Nomad. Of course, we took liberties on the color combo. I never would have had the huevos to do this toi an actual Nomad.
Interior:
This is where the real fun took place. Further inspired by Nomads and Woodies, I installed a combination of bamboo, bark cloth, sea grass, and white pearl vinyl.

This is Ratiki, the HouseOSpeed shop truck. It began life as a 1965 Chevy Suburban. It was originally a Arizona truck. My friends and I built it from the ground up over the span of five years. I took lots of photos along the way as you can see on the 1965classiccar page in my links.
