"The 49"     1949 Pontiac Silver Streak

Introduction / Overview: I picked this up from George.  It was his mothers car and sitting under a lean-to.  I asked if he wanted to sell the Chevy in his back yard. {the weeds were so tal all I could see was the roof line}  After telling me it was a Pontiac- George told me to bring a car trailor and $500 bucks.  I told him I would bring a car trailor, $500 bucks and my wife and if she says OK, he'd have a deal.  He laughed and told  me I was a very smart young man.  So, the next day we took everything and brought it to my shop.

Drivetrain: Stock Sraight 8 and Hydromatic Transmission

Chassis: Stock with dropped spindles and disk brakes.

Wheels and Tires: Stock wheel with '53 hub caps.

Body & Paint: My buddy own's and operates Tollinin Rods in Ukiah, Ca. I took it there and got in the way of doing all the mods and paint.

Interioir: Haven't got that far yet.
