This custom rod made its debute at the Oakland Nationals, in 1987, where it took second for "Best of Show".  The owner was so upset with second, he had it totally dismantled and had World Champion Drag Racer,  Rick Santos, S&S Automotive, San Leandro, Ca., build the 1963 1/2 Chev.
