"1930 Plymouth 30U" 1930 Plymouth Custom
Introduction / Overview: We took a project and then put our own spin on the car - completely disassembling and correcting the vehicle to fit our style and road worthly. Filled in rusted holes smoothed the body just a bit and customized the interior and steering to match our 6 foot plus sizes
Drivetrain: 1968 383 Mopar - Standard bore - 906 heads - mild thumper cam - 727 Torque Flight with a manual reverse shift transmission. running several trans coolers to allow us to cruise. 8.8 3.55 posi rear end out of a truck -
Chassis: Coil overs rear with air rides added - suicide steering cowl exit steering box out of a 30's Chrysler - Dropped front axle - special construction frame z'd 17" rear. Tube shocks front - 4 wheel disc brakes
Wheels and Tires:
Artillery front wheels 16" with 760 Firestones wide whites - 15" track master rims with 11:00 cheater slick Firestones.
Body & Paint:
Custom - no it is not rust - My son came up with the paint sceme and designed and painted the car to give the apearance of rust and paint flaking - He even had a custom grafic for the door yet to be applied. - red oxide sealer with black hot rod flat paint with a satin clear applied over the top.
The roof panel is a custom vinaled roof incert to give it the 50's look
Interioir: Custom - Jegs racing seats with belts - red scemed colors - custom door panels using flex panels then covered with burlap and highlighted bottom checked fleece covering trimmed in red.- floors sound sealed then carpeted in black. The interior walls left exposed but painted with spackle black and white paint. - Inside roof panel black and white checked fleece.
