"vw D cab tikibus" 1962 Volkswagon Bus
Introduction / Overview: here my 1962 vw Dcab tikibus, I will be using this also as my daily driver. the toyota tacomas going. So now I am getting this bus back together. I had this bus for 10 years, so now the wheel wells are raised, the body work I am doing again. Tiki bamboo interior is what I will be doing next and a bamboo surf rack for my long boards
Drivetrain: 914 type 4 engine single carb with headers, sounds like a V8, geared trans so she flys on the freeway at 80+ . I have been clocked at 90
Chassis: stock but lowered in back and lowered spindals and adjustable beam in front
Wheels and Tires: 135 tires infront 205 in back on old porsche rims
Body & Paint: going with a pearl on top and a lighter orange on the bottom and bamboo everywhere
Interioir: bamboo, bamboo and thatch, custom wood work by me
