Ford 4-Lug Disc Brake Kit from Wilwood

Ford 4-Lug Disc Brake Kit from Wilwood

Christmas came in JULY today when I got my order from Wilwood. I met a few Wilwood guys here and there at SEMA and at SEMA's MPMC event in SoCal. When I found out they started offering a 4-lug disc brake kit made for a Mustang, but that'd fit on a Falcon, I jumped on it. While I was at it, here's what I ordered:

  1. 4-lug disc brake kit, complete! Rotors, calipers, pads, bearing, everything!
  2. Proportioning valve with built in brake switch
  3. Stainless brake hoses
  4. (not shown) Compact clutch master cylinder with remote reservoir.

If you've ever looked into a 4-lug Ford disc brake kit, then you've probably heard of the Scarebird kit. It's basically the mounting hardware and instructions about what off-the-shelf parts to get from your local auto parts store. It's cheaper, but when it comes to brakes - that wasn't my top priority!   I'm jazzed to have brand new parts with a name like Wilwood to stand behind in case I have any problems. Here's a link to the brake kit I got. Wilwood 4-Lug Ford Disc Brake Kit   Look for in-depth install how-to soon! -pikesan

Hi, did you ever finish up the Wilwood 4 lug conversion on your Falcon? I assume you used part number 140-12535.

Did you utilize the factory single circuit jam jar master cylinder and did the disc brake kit work well without power assist?

Cheers,
Jimmy
