"Gita" 1961 Mercury Comet
Introduction / Overview: Her name is Gita.
I got her in Jan 2009.
The vehicle was all original including the original lacquer paint. After driving her daily for 2 yrs with the in-line 6 it was time to make some modifications!! Check her out! More photos to come.

Drivetrain:
I have recently installed a Ford 302 equipped with an Isky Mega 170 Racing Cam, electronic ignition, Edelbrock 4 brl carb ect ect. Gita now has a C4 auto trans amd a Ford 8 inch with posi-traction.
Chassis:
Front suspension is from a 65 mustang, and V8 Falcon steering box was added.
Wheels and Tires: Converted her to 5 lug, Grenada spindles, and disk brakes in front. other than that nothing too special.
Body & Paint:
The car is still adorning the originall black paint but I have plans to do something more exciting in the near future.
Interioir:
Original red and black bench seat with the red dash.
