Pinup Lemonade. Think it’s Sweet?

I heard from one of our favorite pinup models, Zoe Scarlett.  Zoe’s the first pinup model we featured when she was on a flier we made for the very first show we attended in California.  She was our Billetproof Pinup here thanks to our friend and extraordinary photographer Dirk Behlau from Pixeleye Racing.

And just for the record, Zoe’s Swiss! From Switzerland, you know? No matter how many times I screw that up, that’s not gonna change…

So Zoe told me she’s on a bottle of lemonade. Here’s the scoop. Available soon, I’ll try to post a link to where it’s on sale.

In the first time of history, Abbondio Aranciata has decided to use a still alive pin up beauty to cover their bottle.

After intensive research, Abbondio found the well known Swiss Pin Up girl and discovered she’s the only European doll on the world ranking of the top 10 pin ups.

The Zoe Scarlett Limited Edition beverage will be launched worldwide in late March. In addition to the “Terroni in Los Angeles, ” harrods ” in London or the “Zanzibar” in Frankfurt the lemonade will also be available in Canada, America, Mexico, Europe, Arabia, India, Japan and Australia.

June Pinup of the Month – Zoe Scarlett

I first bumped into Ms. Zoe Scarlett while looking for a great hot rod pinup picture to use for the very first MyRideisMe.com flier ever made. Graphic artist and Photographer Dirk Behlau kindly let the tiny web start-up use his image. That black hot rod with stunning blond featured Zoe Scarlett who is now the June Pinup of the Month.

* How’d you become a pinup? Is pinup big in Switzerland?

I took my first pin-up pictures in my boyfriend’s garage on a very cold day in January. I wanted to surprise him with some cute pictures when he returned from his holiday. I never thought that this would be my future career! At the same time, Switzerland’s most famous newspaper, BLICK, advertised a contest called ‘the cutest neighbor’.

I spontaneously decided to take part in the contest and sent in the pictures I’d made for my boyfriend. Two days later, there was a huge picture of me on the cover of Switzerland’s BLICK! Well, that was the beginning of my pin-up modeling career!

* What’s your favorite pinup picture ever?

That’s a hard question, during my career as a pin up model and burlesque performer I’ve been booked for a lot of shootings, every single one has a special place in my memory. The first shooting with Dirk Behlau in Hockenheim, where I was wearing a with dress and I was in front of a red 32 pick up was great, I also appreciated my first beach shooting with Ama Lea in L.A. I also liked working with animals for my calendar. It was fascinating to work with a leopard, spider snakes, camels and others.

* Are you into cars and the pinup “culture” or is it just a job?

My passion for the 1950′s lifestyle and classic cars began at a very young age. As a child, I was taken to flea markets, car shows and races with my family. I spent a lot of my spare time at my Dad’s Speed Shop. My mom is a passionate 50′s furniture and accessory collector and my older brother lives in Florida and works as a mechanic for a Racing Team. So I was kind of born in to it.

* What’s a funny thing about you that nobody’d ever guess???

I use to be a mechanic in a drag race team for about 2 years. We traveled around Europe whit a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air the team was called Roofers Toy ;)

* What are you working on now?

As a pinup model I represent premium brands. As a example for the world-brand  “Cynar” (Campari Gruppo), I started an exclusive burlesque-show called the Cynarina. With an erotic, glamorous and stirring mixture of vaudeville, show and musical I put a spell on my audience. In an oversized “Cynar-glass” I perform the art of burlesque in perfection.

Kim Falcon – August Pinup of the Month

Hot Rod Pinup of the Month:

Hot rods and pinups are like peas and carrots, so I’m starting a new feature at MyRideisMe.com called Pinup of the month. I’m lucky to have the lovely Kim Falcon as our first for the month of August.

In Kim’s own words and from her website kimfalcon.com

“I Love music. Pin-up modeling, Photography, ROCK-N-ROLL!! Vegetarian food!!, Driving around town in the 64 Cadillac Hearse listening to the Misfits, My children! Love Rockabilly!!!! Love Tiger Army! Absolutely obsessed with roses!!!! I love to travel the world.”

What she doesn’t say (pure modesty, I guess) is that she’s super cool and all over the place in the world of pinup modeling. She was mentioned as #6 amoung modern pinups by a cool site I just found called Askmen.com. Do about this photo. It was shot for Moon Eyes 2005, their Christmas party (I’m guessing) by pinup photographer Mitzi Valenzuela with MUAH (makeup and hair for those of us who don’t do modelling!) by Angela Warrick.

So please enjoy this picture of Kim with this sit’n low custom. To me, this pic epitomizes pinups. She’s hot, the car is cool and you wonder if you messed with her if she’d drop that cig and kick your ass. Bring her home to mom, maybe not… but for dad, he’s slipping you an extra couple bucks for gas money.

Pinup Models Wanted for MyRideisMe Gallery

MyRideisMe.com’s new picture gallery needs pinup models! What’s better than girls posing with cars? I’ve been getting a few request for info about pinup model pictures (Special thanks to Frenchy from Kitten Koffin Zombies at Myspace)

Here’s the info you’ll need:

Here’s the link: Pinup Pics so you know what it looks like. I want to fill it up with hot (but not nude) pinup or bikini models . I will only use models with cars or bikes or both. As much as I like the other pics, please, ONLY send pics with cars and bikes.

To give proper credit, I need:
1) Model’s name (and I can add her website as a click-able link too)
2) Photographer’s name (also click-able link)
3) Contact info (email or myspace page, whatever they want- also a click-able)
4) I’ll also do clothing lines, bags and what-not, as long as they’re posing with cars and bikes!

Email all pics (zipped to one file please) to: pikesan at myrideisme dot com (spaced out to avoid spam)

Each model can send as many pictures as you want. Each set of pictures will be setup by photographer or model, but NOT both.
